REVIEW/COMMENTS: Land Development
UNITED STATES POST OFFICE
The only concern that Land Development has is we need to have
HDR produce the plans for the 4" force main to tie into the City
water as conveyed by Carl Bass, Water department.
I've received letters from Sverdrup which indicate that the U.S.
Post Office is requesting that all inspections on their site by
done by an Architect/Engineer of their choice, which is Sverdrup
and that they are exempt from all City inspections within their
property. The City inspections will be done on the easements
and right-of-ways owned by the City or to be dedicated by the
City. I have requested from HDR, Sverdrup, and U.S. Post Office,
a letter to that affect which will release the City from any
liability for loss of property, life and limb. This letter is
forth coming.
There are no other objections from Land Development at this time.

;'1 truck route should be specified to reduce impact on Bethel Road
:~hich was not designed to handle the increase of truck traffic
expected.
Off site drainage, in particular the ditch on the south side of
Bethel, has no mention in this set of plans. ImF~act of the increased
flow of drainage should be studied to the point of flow ending at
Grapevine Creek (The dam near Bethel and Bethel School collapsed
about 2 years ago with heavy rains).

After reviewing the plans, my only concern is where the sanitary
sewer will connect to the city's existing sanitary system.

GENERAL MAIL FACILITY/VEHICLE MAINTENANCE
No landscaping p'.ans were submitted. As this facility is along
a primary entry to the City, could some planting of a minimal
nature take place. The installation of Cedar Elms and bermuda
grass would enhance both the street and the facility grounds.
