Dear Mr. Sifford:
As per your request, here are the letters from Sverdrup Corp. and
MSQ Engineers for entry into box culverts and sealed shop drawing.
There shop drawing conform to Texas Highway standards and they
are using your Design Detail for inlet openings in top of box
culvert.
I wiI1 await your response before allowing Hall construction to
do any work on these culvert walls. Thank you.

Dear Mr. Morton:
Construction is currently on going on the drainage
structures in front of the new USPS mail facility in Coppell.
Tl~ese drainage structures are being built under contract between
Thompson Development Co. and Ulvalde Construction. It is my
,l~ldorstanding that the drainage will be part of the City easement
Ul.)or~ completion and acceptance by the City of Coppell.
The USPS has contracted with Marie Sinacola & Sons to
,~:onstruct the site work for the postal facility. The contractor
i~; required to tie into the "existing" reinforced concrete box
c~lvet~ts with drainage pipes and curb inlets.
.~inc:e the box culverts have not been construct:ed to date,it
would seen to be a better construction method to blockout the
culvert d__ lng constr~:ction to ~ccommodate the ,j~o~ ~torm sowers.
This would be more structurally sound than cutting the box
culverts after they are constructed.
If Uvalde Construction would be permitted to blockout the
bo~ culver'ts in accordance with our engineers' sketch, then the
II~:PS contractor,Sinacola, can work with Uvalde on the
ce~nstruction particulars. Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
RoJf Prince
