As discussed in our June 17th meeting, Halff Associates is resubmitting t
construction plans for final review (2 sets enclosed). Also enclosed ,
Construction Specifications and Contract Documents for review. These doci
submitted previously, however, the format utilized is exactly the same as ~
Brooks Lane Spec books. Additions to this contract aze:
• Bid Bond required
• Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds required
• Liquidated Damages increased to $240 per day
We have also included the original "city review" set of the construction

Response: A junction box is not recommended at this location due to a minimal cover of
the existing storm sewer system, the associated head losses, d cost.

Response: Dowels into existing inlets have been added to the detail sho on sheet STM-2.
In addition, Ha1ff Associates has changed the Diversion outfall pipe from a 54" RCP to a 5'x4'
reinforced concrete box. This provides additional clearance for the 8 inch 'tary sewer line as
well as increased capacity. The existing 36" RCP in Waterside Estates is al connected into the
new system on Spyglass Drive. All crossings within approximately 2 f t vertically of the
proposed storm sewer pipe are also shown with Ductile iron replacement pi as per the City of
Coppell's standard details. However, please note that Dallas Water U ' 'ties is no longer
replacing PVC pipe with ductile iron because of problems with corrosion. A copy of DWU's
details for overcrossings is attached to this letter for your information. Mr. teve Hardy, DWU -
