Dear Mr. Doyle:
I am requesting by Register Mail, your help in our drainage problem
at 517Arbor Brook. The problem comes from the street behind us
(Hunters Ridge) which is ona higher level than we are. In heavy
rains the excessive water travels across the following yards.
Charles Mclaughlin (513)..Darryl Wheeler (517)..Don Jett (521)..
Arbor Brook. The water flows down both driveways, Jett's and ours.
The water seems to be diverted away from the clogged culverts on
each side of our property and the manhole or sewer drain -that is
located in the middle of our front drive...as well as the one across
the street cannot handle the heavy waterflow. This creats a flooding
situation; a prime example was this past August. The Bakers have
had lots of problems for sometime and ruined carpets once or twice
before. The Lefforges have a similar problem but no water in their
home as the Bakers
Darryl and I have lived here 10-years this past August. The culverts
have not been cleaned as far as I know. I did request last year to
have the sewer drain to be cleaned and corected in order to handle
our drainage.. Someone did come out and he said he would order
a grate to help the clogging of leaves and yard rubbish. They were
not responsible ~or clearing the culverts or drains. The grate has
never arrived or the problem solved. I would like to improve our
front drive to be more attractive...nothing can be done until the
water problem is corrected. I also would like to know what the City
would recommend for this particular location.
In the past, Darryl and I both have called and left messages with
no replay. I even went to the old location on Behel Rd. and asked
that a message I wrote and left to be given the the right person to
pleasecontact us concerning our problem..still no results. Now
I am asking for your help. Fall is here and soon the falling leaves
once again and the rains are upon us
