On this date, an HBC Engineering representative arrived at the above
jobsite as scheduled for structural steel inspection on the roof dec
visit was made to review roof deck attachment conditions. Observati
follows:
1. Roof deck panels were welded to supports on 12-inch centers
instead of the specified 6-inch centers for pin type fastnez
Therefore, welds were not inspected (see General Note on Sl
2. Deck support angle butt splices were not welded at the vert:
legs.
3. Deck angle was not welded to panel embeds at several locati¢
It should be noted that not all connections were accessible
to coverage by deck.
4. Missing or misplaced side lap screws were marked with orange
paint.
5. Damaged deck was marked for correction at two (2) locations
along M line.
