On this date, an HBC Engineering represenative arrived at the above
jobsite as scheduled for structural steel inspection on roof deck at
additional jobsite visit was made to review previously reported cone
following observations were made.

Deck support angle butt splices have not been welded at expans
joints. Boards installed at some locations should be removed
to faciliate welding of splices and deck to support on 6-inch
centers.
Deck panel edges parallel to supports are not welded consiste~
on 6-inch spacings(up to 20-inches). Erector should assure a
spacing at all supports including at expansion joints.
Deck panel end laps are not welded to supports adjacent to sk
frames. Instead, one panel is welded to skylight frame and ti
overlap panel is attached with %10 TEK screws to the welded pa
each high point (6-inch centers). At some locations, screws we
installed.
Welds throughout the field area which do not conform to specif
were marked with red paint. Perimeters were not marked.
Deck panels are still welded on 12-inch center under construct
debris stacked on roof.
Damaged deck needs repair at two locations. One along south wa
other near the northeast corner.
