Northlake WE P10C-CS 970917City of Dallas September 17, 1997 Mr. Ken Griffin City Engineer City of Coppell P.O. Box 478 Coppell, Texas 75019 4 Dear Ken: It appears that subdivision construction activities in the vicinity of MacArthur Boulevard and Bethel School are occurring near, if not on top of, a Dallas' 54" water transmission line serving Coppell, Flower Mound, Irving and D/FW Airport. An additional three to four feet of cover may have been placed over the pipeline, an air relief valve, and other appurtenances (see attached copies). Please provide an update on the status of this construction. Please provide plan and profile design plans for the improvements within the vicinity of the pipeline for our review. We will then forward out'comments:and recommendations to you. It is imperative that Dallas Water Utilities be able to operate and maintain this important pipeline. Interruptions in service significantly effect our wholesale customers in the area. Ken, if possible, your response by September 26, 1997, will be greatly appreciated. If'you have any questions, please feel free to call me or Tonia Lichtenberg at 214/670-5886. · Sincerely, Phillip a.
