Re: Drainage Channel
Northport Business Park
Dear Ms. Daneshmand:
Pursuant to our meeting on March 6, 1987, with the developer and
engineer on the above referenced project, the following comments
are offered.
The City has no objections to the construction of the drainage
channel on the property, prior to final platting, as long as the
channel meets all the criteria of the City of Coppell standards.
The main concerns are the velocities in the proposed channel.
Velocities greater than 8 f.p.so on grassed slopes are
unacceptable. If the velocities exceed 8 f.p.s., the side
slopes shall be concrete lined; otherwise, erosion of the sides
of the channel will occur and present a maintenance problem to
the City.
The City should not accept the channel for maintenance until
final platting is approved and a one-year warranty period has
expired.
If you have any questions, please contact us.
Sincerely,
Gabe Favre
