B~ Coppell, ~[ Services: Roofing inspection. On this date, an HBC Engineering representative arrived at the above jobsite as scheduled for roofing inspection. Representatives from HE( Johns/Manville, O'Brien & Associates, Butler Construction and HBC Eng] to discuss the upcoming roof application for Buildings A and B. The items were discussed. 2 o 3 o The system will be constructed with a Johns/Manville four p system, aggregate ballast, 1-inch perlite (mechanically attached), four plies of fiberglass felts and a modified SB: flashing. The roof is required to have a 1-60 wind up lift rating. However, the specifications do require that the fastener quantity be increased by 1.5 in the corners. The additional two plies of fiberglass flets will be requir~ at all vertical flashing areas. The seam laps at the vertical flashing and top edge areas will require a 6-inch webbing with roof cement (three cours~ Scuppers are to be 2 inches below the drain ring. HBC cautioned that this has been a problem with tilt wall panel: in placement. The contractor advised that corrections woul. be made if warranted. The curbs will be constructed in the field and will be constructed of wood. Per HEC, due to supply problems with asphalt, a letter has been submitted to Johns/Manville to pre-approve an additions asphalt brand to insure that the contractor has the material needed to complete the project. Tentative start up date is Monday, May 22, 2000. The contractor will be on the jobsite at approximately 6:30 a.m. daily and will work approximately 9 to 9.5 hours daily. Saturday's will be utilized only if weather has halted work during the week. Estimated days to dry-in are 19 working days on Building A and 11 days on Building B. HBC will be responsible for random spot checks. Johns/ Manville will inspect the system twice during applicaiton. HBC did receive a copy of the approved submittals on this date.
