Services: In-place density tests.
On this date, an HBC Engineering technician arrived at the above referenced
jobsite as scheduled for in-place density tests. HBC's technician was requested
to visit the jobsite to perform in-place density tests on the tilt panel backfill
inside the building. Upon arrival, a visual inspection of the material
identified the backfill as a brown clay rather than a select fill. HBC's
technician got with the project superintendent and explained HBC's concerns.
Upon investigation, it was discovered that the laborers had used the wrong
stockpile to backfill. The superintendent asked that no densities be taken to
allow him to remove the clay and replace it with select fill. The superintendent
stated that he would reschedule densities when this was completed.
Technician Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
