Lime Stabilization
Park Neadowa, Phase II
Coppe11, Texas

Dear Hr. M/se:
In accordance with your request, on February 17, 1986, we procured
six (6) surface soil samples From the Finish subgrade la the
streets of the above referenced project. Atterberg Limits teats
were performed on each of the samples selected. The results are
enclosed.
The City of Coppell specifications require lime stabilization
on soils which exceed a Plasticity Index of twelve (12). As can
be seen From test results, all of the P.I.'s exceeded twelve (12).
Therefore, we selected the soils with the higher P.I.'s and
added three (3) percent hydrated lime for re-testing. The
subsequent tests indicated that three (3) percent lime will reduce
the plasticity below the minimum P.I. value.
In conclusion, we recommend that three (3) percent hydrated lime,
by dry weight, be added to the Finish subgrade of all streets in
the project in order to satisfy City of Coppell standards.
I trust thls ls the Information you deslre, and 1F we can be of
further service, please call on us.
Respectfully submitted,
