ST9704-CS 980225 Coppell, Texas 75019 COPPELL, TEXAS 75019 February 25, 1998 Mr. Glen Hickley FILE Univest Development 12201 Merit Drive Suite 170 Dallas, TX ?5251 EE: Second Access to Coppert Bigh Schoo| Dear Mr. Hickicy, This letter is written as a followup to our previous telephone conversation concerning a second point of access to the Coppe|] Bigh School along the south side of Buntington Pjdg¢ and Sonic. There have been some conversations with residents in Buntington Ridge and the CISD concerning this access. The Cibr of Coppert Engineering Department has taken those comments trader advisement and has prepared four alternates for the construction of a 2nd point of access into the high school. T~¢ attached exhibits show where the roadway would transverse ),our properb' to give a general idea of the amount right-of-wa), necessary to construction an), of the four alternates. It is m), opinion that alternate number one is the most desirable to the residents because it presen, es two large 36" Pecan Trees midway through the project. Obyiousl),, a|ternate number one also has the most impact on ),our property. A|ternat¢ number two is a straight shot ~rom the existing roadway to the high school, however, it is placed approximately 15' off the existing brick fence. Construction of aiternate number two would cause the removal or the two 36" Pecan Trees. Alternate number t~ee proposes to place the roadwa), approximatel), 8.5' ~rom the brick fence for a distance and then transitioning south to miss the two 36" Pecan Trees. Alternate number four has the least impact on ),our property, but the greatest impact to the residents to the north. It places the roadway 8.5' off the fence and removes the two 36" Pecan Trees. T~ere is no fina|ized design on this project, nor commitments made at t~is time to construct it. Bowever, it is my opinion that the second point or ingress/engfess is needed to the high school. Please provide me with reedback and input at your earliest convenience on the rout alternates. ~ would be happ), to meet wit~ either ),ou or your engineer to discuss the alternates and to go more indepth about the project itse|f. If you have an), questions or need an), additional information please fee| ~ree to contact me at ),our convenience at 9?2/304-36?9. Again, thank :you for ),our consideration of these alternates and I look forward to heating ~rom :you in the near [uture. Sincetel),, Kenneth , P.E.
