Dear Russell:
Based on a meeting with Mr. Larry Davis, Inspector, I have added details
to the proposed inlet modification. I specified a no. 999 type "H" frame
and gra~e (manufactured by Bass & Hays) or equal. Attached are three copies
of the plan. I revised the hydraulic calculations to reflect the capacity
of five of the grates. I met with the home builder to discuss and coordi-
nate the placing of the concrete drive. Mr Davis and I agreed that the gut-
ter line of the drive should be at approximately the center of the grates in
the longitudinal direction. I have added spot elevations at the right-of-way,
and a driveway profile is shown to illustrate the sloping of the drive. The
inlet contractor will set the top of the grate to match the driveway forms.
I can be available if necessary to review the field construction.
We are trying to complete this modification as soon as possible, since this
issue has been discussed for over one month already. If this plan is accept-
able, please let me know.
