Homeowner Agreements
It is my understanding that Homeowner Agreements are required for all
subdivisions, according to the research performed by staff earlier this
year. As you well know, the Maintenance Agreements are not my
expertise, and the decision has been made that any information
pertaining to said agreements should be directed to the Public Works
Department. In addition, in a meeting on July 9, 1987, the decision was
made that Development Inspections would assume the responsibility of
notification to petitioners in reference to Homeowner Maintenance
Agreements.
I received a telephone call from Mr. George Dudley, regarding the
submission of Maintenance Agreements, and he stated that he had spoken
with you about a Homeowners Agreement for the Lake Park Addition. Mr.
Dudley stated that during the conversation that you stated he should
forward his response to the requirement of a Homeowners Agreement to the
Planning Department instead of the Public Works Department.
I do appreciate your efforts to keep me informed; however, in the
future, a response letter or staff report from your department will
suffice. Therefore, in order for me to make a proper presentation to
the City Council, please respond to the letter from Mr. Dudley at your
earliest convenience in the form of a staff report or memo.
I have attached a copy of the said l~ttar, in th~ evant you did not
receive your copy from Mr. Dudley. Your cooperation in this matter is
appreciated.

RE: Parkview Addition, Common Area
Dear Ms. Bowman:
This letter is written on beimlf of our client Warren Clark & Associates
;~no are tt~e developers of proposed Parkview Addition in Coppell.
~e offer the following comments concerning a Homeowners Association
for subject project. It is our feeling that no Homeowners Association
is required since, (1) there are no common areas within the plat
· tself, (2) Parkway Boulevard was previously platted by Univest
Development Company and is not part of Parkview Addition and (3)
the linear lakes adjacent to Parkview Addition on the west are owned
and maintained by 0nivest Development Company and not part of the
plat.
We respectfully request that these factors are accepted as reasons
not to require a Homeowners Association for Parkview A~dition.
Very truly yours,
ROBERTS & DOWDEY
