RE: Parks of Coppell
Dear Mr. Earle:
I have reviewed your request to abandon a portion of Lot 1, Block E of the Parks of Coppell.
The Engineering Department offers no objections to the concept of abandoning a portion of the
easement that cuts across the referenced lot. However, when the legal descriptions are prepared
a minimum of 10 feet from the center line of the existing 24" RCP to the outer edge of the
easement should be provided. The exhibit that you have submitted shows approximately 5 feet
from the center line of the RCP. If you can accommodate the 10 feet from the RCP, then again
there will be no objections.
To facilitate this abandonment, you will need to provide either an actual appraisal or realtors
estimate of the estimated value of the property. When the City abandons we abandon to the
property owners at fair market value.
If you should have any questions or need any additional information please feel free to contact
me at your convenience.
Sincerely.
Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E.
Assistant City Manager/City Engineer
