Transmitted herewith is a comment letter from the City of Coppell's
consultants on the West of Denton Tap Road Major Thoroughfare Plan
Study. Gary Sieb has already received a copy of this from Shohre
Daneshmand when it was received via the Fax.
These comments must be distributed to the P & Z Commission and City
Council when they hear the related cases.
Additionally, the cost of Southwestern/Park West Parkway and
related bridge should be determined early on.

Properties 'Limited, Inc, to realign southwesterp Boulevard and
combine it w .... t~ Gateg;ay Boulevard. Our concern
this request on our West Side Thoroughfare Plan study which we plan
to start in J'anuary 1990. ]it was with this in mind tha't we
reviewed the request. Erom Prentiss.
To support thai. l; req~est, PrentJ. ss retained DeShazo, Starek & Tang,
inc, to provide an alternatives analysis for the realignment of
Southwestern. This analysis, submitted Dece~er 14, 1989, compared
four alternative align'ments including the alignment presented in
your existing Thoroughfare Plan. DS&T concluded that alternative
2 would allow fsr the greatest development potential of the
industrial si. Les and provide for the best movement of traffic
through the area.
From the standpoint of our pending study, we believe alternative 2
is an acceptable alignment in thl. s area and does not significantly
detract from the intent of the existing Thoroughfare Plan
aligm~ent. However;, aEter review DS&T's report, we have a few
questions, namely:
o What is the impact on the other major thoroughfares in
this section of the City (Bethel Road, Belt Line Road,
Denton Tap Road) ?;
