Re: Wetlands Determination -~Grapevine Creek
Dear Shohre:
Please find attached a copy of the submission letter to the C.O.E. for a wetlands and
permit determination for Grapevine Creek from Southwestern Boulevard to IH 635. This
submittal is required as per Ron Morrison's comment on the hydraulic report submitted for
review on September 28, 1990. He feels that a 404 permit may be required for the drop
structure.
As we discussed yesterday the Grapevine Creek FEMA submittal is primarily for the
Southwestern Boulevard improvements and the proposed railroad crossing both on property
owned by Prentiss Properties Ltd., Inc. The drop structure was incorporated into the
proposed conditions model because the channel as it exists today is not approved by either
FEMA or the city. If the drop structure had not been included, the FEMA proposed
conditions model would have to contain bridge crossings for a channel that has not existed
for almost 10 years. Although, Halff Associates is not under contract to prepare a wetlands
permit submittal, we have proceeded with the requested submittal to facilitate approval of
the Park West Commerce Center Final Plat.
Please feel free to call if you have any comments or questions.
Yours very truly,
ALBERT H. HALFF ASSOCIATES, INC.
