Dear Mr. Martin:
HBC Engineering, Inc. (HBC) provided the geotechnical investigation for the above referenced
project and reported the results to Prentiss Properties in our report number 42-2112-97 in September,
1997. Based on that report the following minimum pavement sections are recommended.
Automobile Parking Lots
5" of 3000 psi concrete on an unstabilized, compacted subgrade.
Truck Areas (up to 20 daily repetitions)
6" of 4000 psi concrete on an unstabilized, compacted subgrade.
For both sections the subgrade is to be uniformly compacted to a minimum of 95 percent of ASTM
D 698 at -1 to +3 percent of the optimum moisture content determined by that test.
