Park West CC(1)-LR 950728reed engineering GEOTECHNICAL CONSULTANTS July 28, 1995 Project No. 2166.2 Report No. 6 Marc Myers Company 3811 Turtle Creek Boulevard, Suite 1020 Dallas, Texas 75219 ATTN: Mr. Richard Crow Re: Construction Materials Testing Park West Commerce Center Airline Drive and Executive Drive Coppell, Texas Gentlemen: Submitted here are the results of testing and observation of construction materials at the referenced project. This report addresses the activities for the period of June 21 through July 20, 1995. During the referenced period, a total of-91 field density tests were taken on the building pad, utility backfill and paving subgrade. Test results are shown on Plates 1 through 4. Where tested, materials were found to be in compliance with project specifications, except as noted. Where materials were not in compliance, the soils were reworked and retested. Test failures and retests are noted in lower and upper case letters, respectively. ~other sample of the natural sub, fade was also obtained and returned tO the laboratory for development of an optimum moisture-density relationship (Standard Proctor Curve). Test results are attached as Plate 5. Construction of piers resumed on June 29, 1995. Pier construction was observed and the piers were found to be in compliance with project plans and specifications. Pier designations and depths are shown on Plates 6 through 10. Samples of the pier concrete were obtained on a daily basis. Compressive strength test results will be submitted under separate cover. 2424 STUTZ DRIVE · SUITE400 · DALLAS, TEXAS75235 · 214/350-5600 · (FAX) 214/350-0019 Marc Myers Company Project No. 2166.2/Report No. 6 July 28, 1995 Page 2 Additional reports will be submitted as the work progresses. have any questions, do not hesitate to call.
