City Engineer City of Coppell 255 Parkway Blvd. Coppell, TX 75019 Re: IBM Call Center at Park West Commerce Center Dear Mr. Griffin: Prentiss Properties Ltd. (PPL) would like to formally request a lime stabilization variance from the City of Coppell's subdivision ordinance for our automobile parking areas and truck court areas. Attached is HBC Engineering, Inc.'s letter to Mike Martin (dated December 31, 1997) outlining their minimum requirements on unstabilized, compacted subgrade for the parking and truck court areas. In lieu of lime stabilization as required by the City of Coppell, we are requesting that we be allowed to install 5 inches of 4,000 psi concrete and 6 inches of 4,000 psi concrete in the automobile parking areas and truck court areas, respectfully, as indicated on our Paving Dimensional Control Plan dated November 17, 1997. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me as soon as possible as we plan to pour part of the parking area this week for our temporary job site office. Thank you again for your staWs continued assistance with our project. Sincerely, &- Davis H.
