Thu, Sep 13, 2001 10:19 AM Re: 440Wrangler, Suite 500, Coppell Tom, I have asked Chief Robert Kruse to look into this situation. Bob is responsible for both the Fire Marshal and Chief Building Official. Please understand that I am not aware of the details of your project. There may very well be circumstances that resulted in a protracted plan review process. However, we need to do a good job of communicating with our development and construction community. Toward that end, I would ask that you contact Chief Kruse directly at (972)304-3500 or email at bkruse@ci.coppeil.tx.us to discuss the details of this issue and to ensure no other needed information is missing. Feel free to contact my office directly if you so desire. We look forward to your being a corporate citizen of our community. Clay Phillips Deputy City Manager (972)304-3663 cphillip@ci.coppell.tx.us >>> Tom Gage <tgage@teamblowtherm.com> 09/12 4:56 PM >>> Dear Greg Jones: On August 16, 2001 your office received plans for the flnishout of 12,000 square feet of space at 440 Wrangler, Suite 500, Coppell, Texas. On or about September 10, on the contractor's inquiry, the fire marshall inquired on what we will be making at this location. On our last conversation you stated that the process takes 15 days from the date of submission with all the answers. As I stated that September 25 was not reasonable, you agreed to see what could be done. 1. We are a manufacturer of spraybooth equipment with two factories in Canada. This location will house our corporate office, parts and filter inventory similar to a distributorship operation. No manufacturing will be conducted at this location, The fire marshall was concerned that Blowtherm would operate spraybooth equipment, yet this question was not asked until September 107 Fifteen days after August t6 is August 31 by my calculation yet your inquiry did not happen until ten days later. 2. You have now left me a message stating that the permit has been expedited and will be available early next week, maybe Tuesday. THIS IS 33 DAYS AFTER SUBMISSION. LET ME STATE THIS AS STRONG AS I CAN. YOUR RESPONSE TO THIS PERMIT HAS BEEN HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Your actions will cost our company in excess of $37,000 in hold over rent. You have caused us significant problems as our current location is already leased and we may be forced to vacate with no place to go. We will soon be a tax payer in your city and a number of our employees live in your city. We expect from you no further delays and an immediate response to the issuing of this permit. Please be prepared to perform all required inspections timely and in a professional manner.
