REPORT OF INSPECTION
Drawings utilized: Contract Documents / AWS D1.1-94 / AISC
Locations/item inspected: 1) Roof decking spot we]ds and side ]ap screws at
column line J to S, grid line I to 10.
2) Mezzanine level at Column line J.5 to S, grid 1 to 4.
Discrepancies/Comments:
1) Visual welding inspection of roof decking spot welds - We]ds
and lap screws are in compliance with job specifications
and drawing.
2) a) Joist to beam welded connections - Welds comply.
b) Beam to pane] pocket welded connections - Some of the
weld lengths are less than those specified on sheet S402
detail 17. Also embed missing (south side) at R x 1.
c) X bridging incomplete at this time.
d) A325, 3/4 inch high strength (Tension Control Bo]ts)
were used. Visual inspection is ali that is required for
this type of bolt. Bolts have been properly tensioned
except at R x 2 (W24 x 84), Q.5 x 2 (W33 x 118), Q x 2,
P.5 x 2 and P x 2. These bo]ted connections were welded 100%.
