Re: Parkwest Commerce Center
Dear Mr. Chovan:
This letter is written in reference to your September 17, 1993 letter concerning the existing
drainage easement and open channel from Airline Drive northward to Grapevine Creek. The
concern raised in your letter is whether or not the City would support a relocation of the
drainage easement if the construction of future buildings on this site necessitate the relocation.
As I verbally stated, if a plan can be presented that adequately conveys the stormwater from the
south to the north across the site in an easement and the location of the system does not
adversely affect any adjacent property, then the City could support a relocation of the easement
to accommodate future construction on the site. This is a typical consideration when large
facilities are being planned on sites. Obviously, the exact location of the future drainage system
would be mutually agreed upon by the developer, the engineer and the City.
If you should have any questions concerning this letter please feel free to contact me at your
convenience.
Sincerely,
Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E.
City Engineer
