Dear Ms. Daneshmand:
The developers of subject project have asked me to address a
concern that you have regarding the drainage in Lodge Road.
The drainage areas for discharge of surface water from Pecan
Hollow, Sherwood Park and Parkview Additions into Lodge Road
comply generally with the areas as originally shown in the
Sherwood Park plans. We have modified some of the areas as
Parkview and Pecan Hollow have been added to the drainage area
but the total area is slightly less than that originally planned.
During and immediately after the construction phase of Pecan
Hollow some water had been temporarily draining into Lodge Road
but that water has since been channeled away from Lodge Road.
When Pecan Ridge and Pecan Valley are developed inlets will
be constructed to further reduce the flow into Lodge Road.
The two low point inlets at the intersection of Lodge Road and
Parkway Boulevard are designed to handle 40 cfs and the flow
will be approximately 15.3 cfs from the total drainage area
which contributes to the inlets.
The inlets are designed to function within the parameters of
the City of Coppell and should adequately handle the design
flow.
