contractor~ Glenn Thurman~ Inc. discovered that at the centerline
of tho ex~st~n~ Bod~o Road, tho previous pav~n~ contractor had
constructed a keyway {see s~andard details) and had left steel
re~nforcin~ oxtondod to t~o to tho now pavomont soc~ons~
ho~over~ this stoel ~s rusted and should not be usod to tie
~ho bars
Tho roason that tho approvod plans havo a OhO-foot sawcuk l~mi~
is ko mako a ~ood 3o~nt connoct~on betwoen the old ex~st~n~
and proposed pavomen~.
Due to tho aforementioned koyway~ th~s sawcut ~s no longer
necossary~ howevor~ due to the poor condition of the steel,
I rocommond thak wo dr~ll~ and opoxy tho dowels as previously
required.
