RE: Your Letters Dated January 11, 5, & 4, 1990
Dear Mr. Davis:
We have reviewed the above referenced plans you submitted and have
the following comments:
1. Type "A" Headwall
- In response to your letter dated January 11, 1990, we
have no objection to the proposed headwall.
- Due to the high velocity of 13.8 FPS through the 2-36"
RCP's, we request that the headwall be concrete rip-
rapped downstream with dissipator. Please provide what
the outfall velocity will be and the design calculation
(see attached markup plan).
r- Delineate the existing ground and show a grade-to-drain
at downstream of the RCP's and dissipator.
- Upon revision, please submit five sets of revised plans
for final approval and stamping.
2. Storm Drain Transition
- In response to your letter dated January 5, 1990, we have
no objection to the junction box as shown.
- We had some concerns about the traffic load over this
junction box, however, the revised plan you submitted on
January 11, 1990, shows that said box is not within the
traffic area.
- Attached please find seven (7) approved blueline prints
of sheet 6 and 7 for your use. We have kept three (3)
copies for our files.
3. 2" Water Meter and Rim-Rap
- In response to your letter dated January 4, 1990 and
October 24, 1989, Howard Pafford, Water Utilities
Superintendent, has no objection to the 2" water meter
as shown.
- We provided you with some comments on the stone rip-rap,
however, you have replaced such rip-rap with Type "A"
headwall as addressed above.
- See attached (8 1/2" x 11") copies of the 2" water meter.
