RE: Drain Structure #5 - Parks of Coppell
Public Works - Parks has reviewed the proposal submitted 10/3/88
by Tom Wise of Wiseco with the following comments:
Will the proposed modification affect the ability of the proposed
impoundment in its pool or storage elevation of 447' per the grading
plan of 9-86?
Will the increased volume of water to pass through this pipe to the
creek have any impact on the embedment or cause erosion to the levee
at the gate?
Will any impact occur to the drainage channel during this period
should heavy volume of water be received (i.e. backwater effect)?
The grading plan for the areas west of this structure indicate a
pipe buried to relieve any flooding through the gas pipe easement
to this inlet. Will this affect the draining efforts?
Overall there are no objections to the modifications. The only issues
remaining are the designation of responsibility for issuing a permit
and assuring compliance with the understood plans through an
inspection. These are questions which should also be addressed now.
You may be aware, per the direction of the Public Works Director,
notification to the City Manager concerning the agreement is being
prepared.
