SUBJECT: DeForest Roa~ Improvements
ATTENTION: Douglas Spiker, President
On July 8, 1986, the City Council accepted 9x)ur offer of
alternatives to the improving of DeForest Road with reinforced
concrete paving and integral curbs. The alternates are as follows:
1) Escrow $327,500.00 as ~ the estimated cost of the
permanent street improvements.
2)Grade out the existing ditch along the north side
of the road in order to improve local drainage.
3) Provide a 2" hot mix asphaltic concrete overlay on
the existing road bed from MacArthur east to the
terminus of DeForest Road.
Attached for your information are copies of the minutes of the
City Council meeting of July 8, 1986, your letter of July 23,
1986 to Mayor Lou Duggan , and a letter of October 6, 1986 from
Mayor Lou Duggan to you.
We are requesting that you escrow the $327,500.00 with the City,
immediately and that you provide a schedule of when you plan to
improve the drainage and asphalt overlay the existing road bed.
