Cinn, Inc. 16135 Preston Road, Suite 106 Dallas, Texas ?5248 Re: Lakes of ¢oppell DeForest Road Improvements Dear Mr. 6inn: This letter is in response to your letter of February 21, 1986, subject as above. Additionally, the purpose of this correspondence is to clarify some erroneous statements made in your letter. First, I would like to state that DeForest Road improvements are not a Trtland project, but rather a City of Coppell project. As such, it would appear to me that the responsibility to supervise the design engineers would either be yourself or someone on the. city staff. We have been trying to assist you simply in the spirit of cooperation. Secondly, I am not sure I understand the purpose of your letter in that you requested to be notified as to when design plans would be available to the city. Your letter was dated February 21, 1986, and I have been advised that you were provided with a complete set of design plans on February 18, 1986. Third, in your letter you stated that the DeForest Road item was placed on the council agenda February 11 because I had promised that the design would be available on February 1st. I would refer you to my letter of Danuary 24, 1986, (a copy of which is attached), in which I indicated that the final design would be submitted prior to February 15, 1986. When questioned about that date, I indicated we would do whatever we could to speed up the process. However, neither your firm nor the City of ¢oppell took the courtesy to advise us that this item was to be considered on February 11. Wayne Ginn Page 2 February 26, 1986 Additionally, I was advised today that the DeForest Road item was to be considered on tonight's agenda, and then was subsequently advised that it had been pulled from the calendar. In conclusion, if you feel that the design prooess has not been oondueted in a manner satisfactory to the city, I might recommend that the city bid the job to an alternate enginering firm to be designed.
