Dear Mr. Griffin:
This letter is a request for a variance in the City Ordinance for lime stabilized subsoil
under concrete paving on the above referenced project.
With 6" concrete paving in all fire lanes, truck traffic areas, and parking paces, lime
stabilized soil is not required by the Geotechnical Consultants.
The Geotechnical Consultant is Reed Engineering Group, I have enclosed a copy of the
soil report and a letter regarding stabilization of the subgrade.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call myself of Ron Reed.
Sincerely,
HILL & WILKINSON, INC.

Gentlemen:
This letter is to confirm that pavement designs for the referenced
project are based on construction of the pavement over a recompac~ed
subgrade as outlined in our soil report. Based on our analysis, and
the use of rigid pavement, stabilization of the subgrade is not
required.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
Ronald F. Reed, P.E.
