TO: Frank Proctor, City Manager
FROM: Ed Powell, City Engineer
DATE: March 5, 1986
SUBJECT: Screening Wall Along South Side of DeForest Road;
Adjacent to Raintree Village.
For your information the City required a masonry screening wall along
the north boundary line of the Triland Tract, adjacent to DeForest Road.
As you know, Triland is in the process of having construction plans
prepared for the improvements to DeForest Road. It is anticipated that
construction could possibly commence within the next 90 days.
Attached is a formal request from Auburn Development, asking for
approval to re-schedule the construction of the screening wall until
DeForest Road is complete and accepted by the City.
We concur with this request and recommend that the council consider this
for approval.

Re: Screening wall, south side of DeForest Rd., Raintree Village
Dear Mr. Powell,
Please allow this letter to serve as a formal request concerning delay of the
construction of the screening wall on the south side of DeForest Rd. adjacent
to our subdivision known as Raintree Village.
In accordance with the content of the meeting on March 3, 1986 between Doug
Spiker of Triland, Roland Wright of Auburn Development and yourself, Mr. Powell
of the City of Coppell, Auburn Development hereby requests that due to the
potential construction problems in the narrow 40' width right-of-way on DeForest
Rd., that the construction of the screening wall be delayed until Auburn Develop-
ment receives written notification by the City Engineer, of the City of Coppells
intent to cause the screening wall to be constructed. Further, that Auburn
Development, at its sole cost, will commence construction within sixty (60)
days of the notification and will complete construction of the wall within
one-hundred eighty (180) days from the date of notification.
I respectfully ask that you place this request on the earliest possible City
Council agenda. Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely, ~ ~
