STAFF COMMENTS:
On January 7, 1997 nine bids were received and opened for Project PA 96-01, the construction
of a twelve foot wide concrete trail with three foot shoulders and the necessary cutting and
filling m meet the specified slopes adjacent m the trail located north of the Copperstone
Subdivision and south of Denton Creek.
Pavement Construction and Maintenance, Inc. was the low bidder. Bid tabulations are attached
for your review. References have been checked with all contacts providing positive comments
regarding the contractors performance.
Staff recommends awarding Bid #Q-1196-02 for the construction of the Copperstone Trail to
Pavement Construction & Maintenance, Inc. in the amount of $48,842.45 and authorizing the
Mayor to sign.
Staff will be available to an,qwer any questions at the Council meeting.
