I)AA Job No. 96-081
Dear Ken:
I have had discussions with the Contractor (Hill & Wilkinson, Inc.), our Construction
Manager, Eric Royal and the building committee about the water lines to be installed in
the parking lot.
We are re-examining the site of the proposed Family Life Center (FLC). I am not sure
where the best location for a sprinkler closet would be at this time.
I am also concerned about installing a double check detector check valve/vault and a 200'
dead end water line. The concern is whether the line will leak when we pressurize it
upon completion of the building. There may not be a warrantee from the contractor if
there is an extended period of time before the line is used.
We would prefer to pay for more length of main (place the pipe east of the parking area,
parallel to Hertz Road) when the building is constructed. We would still tap the main on
Bethel Road. The landscaping and trees should not be affected to any great extent.
Minor irrigation will be affected.
The other plan comment was a spot elevation on the north side of the parking lot. My
technician reviewed this and verified that the elevation is not along the Vanbebber Road
top of curb, but on the drive approach.
These were the only comments to address on the plans. I spoke with Eddie last week. He
indicated that your staff needs four (4) sets of plans.
Herewith, submitted are fifteen (15) sets of plans of which I would like one stamped set
held for my files.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
William A. Anderson, P.E.
