Mike, Steve Goram I have reviewed the retaining wall.plans and as
long as we have a "Hold Harmless" statement associated with this
wall we have no problem with it being placed in the drainage
easement. The agreement must outline the facts that should the
City ever need to access the drain pipe in this easement it will
be the property owners responsibility to remove and replace the
retaining wall. The city will not be responsible for any damage
to this structure.
However, since the wall is more than 4' high it does require the
approval of the city Engineer. Therefore, I am forwarding the
plans back to you for you to send to Engineering for their
approval.
