I received your letter of June 29 and the $72.00 check which you
enclosed. You requested that your check be accepted by the Homeowners
Association as a full settlement of any claims it may have against you.
You refer in your letter to a recent meeting of the Coppell City
Council in which it adopted an ordinance to assume maintenance
responsibilities for MacArthur Boulevard within the Riverchase
Development. -For over one year the Homeowners Association has been
quietly and cordially negotiating with Coppell City officials for this
ordinance. We felt it was unwise to politicize the matter and chose not
to do so.
We have worked very closely with Steve Parsons during this period
and have offered our full cooperation in implementing a division of the
neighborhood into two homeowners associations. Steve and his partners
will take the lead on organizing a new association for your area and we
will work closely with him in solving the mechanical issues in the
change. It is Steve's goal to have this accomplished by the end of
1995, which would seem to be an ideal time.
Although we found your charges and innuendos to b e distasteful and
an irritant, under the circumstances, we accegt your offer and will cash
