DFC 3 1990,,i!i Three North Park 8800 North Central Expressway Suite 300 F~L~ Da las, Texas 7S231 Dear Mr. Meyer: This is in response to your letter dated July 20, 1988, in which you requested that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provide a copy of the preliminary Flood Insurance Study (FIS) and Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) for the City of Coppell upon its issuance. The copy was requested in order to confirm that the Riverchase Reclamation Project, previously known as the Lesley Tract, was removed from the 100-year floodplain and regulatory floodway. The Fort Worth Corps of Engineers (COE) restudy of the Elm Fork of the Trinity River completed in 1986 for the City of Lewisville FIS (Inter-Agency Agreement No. EMW-E-0941, Project Order No. 1, and Amendments thereto) incorporated the Riverchase Reclamation Project. The COEs' restudy, which was utilized in the preparation of the preliminary FIS and FIRM for the City of Coppell, depicts the aforementioned project outside of the 100-year floodplain and regulatory floodway of the Elm Fork of the Trinity River. A copy of the preliminary FIS and FIRM, scheduled to be issued on August 19, 1988, will be forwarded to you for review and will be subject to a statutory 90-day appeal period and are therefore subject to change.
