RE: Conversation with Ken James
This morning I spoke with Ken James about the certificate of
occupancy for the golf course clubhouse. The purpose of the
conversation was to follow up on the attached letter Mr. James
wrote to you.
I told Mr. James that the city would be unable to issue a
certificate of occupancy, for the clubhouse, until the issue was
resolved concerning the uncompleted landscape work. He informed
me that he understood the position of the city and that he would
work to resolve the problem. He then stated that he had received
approval from Mayor Duggan to open the clubhouse during the weekend
of October 15 and 16 for the VIP party. I told Mr. James that I
had not been notified of Mayor Duggan's decision to allow the
clubhouse to be occupied prior to the resolution of the landscape
problem. Mr. James was also told that until I do receive
notification, I will have to operate under the premise that the
clubhouse had been occupied illegally.
