Riverchase(2)-CS 880405 COPPELL PUBLIC WORKS
MEMORANDUM
April. 5, 1988
TO: Planning & Zoning
FRO:~I: Public Works A~ministration ,~4~
I.'.E: Riverchase Clubhot~e Addition - Meter Vault
Tar'¥o,~0 after careful review and consideration I feel it necessary to install
the ~.~ter and check valve vaults for the following reasons:
!) Vaults are re_quired to separate privately maintained water lines from city
nv_~intained water lines. This has been enforced since 1985 on all multi-
f~mmily, con~nercial, and industrial developments.
2) 'i%e proposed 2" meter would require a meter reader to travel 435' onto private
p~ope, rty to read.
2) 60% of water line will be under cone parking lot.
4) '"he 8" line was extended to provide temporary water for golf course only.
F..n. gineer and utility contractor ~re both made aware that to utilize line
I'or- water service in future it would require the vault or possibly realignment
,;? line. .Sit,ce there was no site plan at that time.
~% ,'losing I don't feel it is fair to deviate from our normal re_quirements.
~] f,~<~.], we would ,be doing a disservice to past developments which were required
I_r) ,"onfo]..-m to this rec~]irement.
