Bo~ 478 TX 5019 Coppe~, 7 Re: 15" Sanitary Sewer Line - Riverchase Dear Steve: We have reviewed the above subject plans for your concern regarding the backing up of sewage in the subject sewer line. Our review took into consideration your statement that the sewage is backed up approximately 320' from the point of entry to the TRA interceptor. After review of the as-built plans showing the angle of entry where the 15" SS ties into the TRA system, we recommend that further engineering be pursued to improve this present condition prior to final acceptance of the facility. It would be appropriate in this situation to have Terra and their consulting engineers re-evaluate the situation and propose an acceptable solution to you that will alleviate this present backing up situation. On a gravity sewer line, the City should look for a design that allows for the discharge of sewage to not be restricted by any opposing velocity head. We hope this accommodates your concerns.
