Dear Councilperson,
In June of 1999, I reported my sidewalk on the parkway needed repairs. I also requested my sidewalk
be repaired due to the water holding on the parkway sidewalk, was causing my side to sink. The two
young men said that a supervisor would come to look and be in contact with me. Thus far I have not
heard from anyone
Three weeks ago the men finally showed up and dug up the parkway sidewalk. I thought this was
great after being patient and waitng for close to two (2) years. Once again, I called and spoke to some-
one and explained that my walkway had sunk even more than the two years before. Today May 8, 2001
My sidewalk has dropped even more due to the rain and the soil underneath is continuing to wash away,
and I would like some kind of assistance before contacting my insurance company. I feel I been more
than patient and all other properities in the area have been filled even theother homes immendiate walkway.
I do pay taxes as any good resident would and work on keeping my home neatly maintained. My other con-
cern is the many children in the neighborhood could be hurt by falling into this open pit with steel rods
protruding from the sides. One of the little girls told me yesterday she had fallen in, but was not hurt
since the ground was soft from the rains.
I am starting to see cracks inside my home and the foundation company has found no problems, there-
fore leading me to believe it could be coming from the entire sidewalk problem.
I ask any assistance you can possibly offer.
