Sandy Lake Crossing .........

Dear Mr. Doyle:
Per our discussion this date, this letter is to formally request a variance of the city
ordinance r~stricting median cuts to a distance greater than the restricted left hand
turn median cut we have designed for the above mentioned project.
~ I have stated in past correspondence, it is our client's desire to assume the cost
of construction for the installation of the median cut should the ci~, find our re-
quest amenable. This cost is in addition to his previous agreements to share in the
cost of improvements of the southern half of Sandy Lake with Conneil Develop-
ment.
In addition, I have included a preliminary sketch developed by Kimley Horn Traffic
Design Engineers (along with a copy of the letter Jim Kurtz sent to your office in
February) that represents the confi~ration we desire. Further, I have again in-
cluded a copy of the meeting notes we have (m record dealing with the median cut.
Unfortunately, I must admit the notes cannot be regarded as conclusive that a
determination was made in our favor. However, they do manage to demonstrate
that we were operatifig under the impression that we had received some form of
approval and the fact remains, the Preliminao' Plat was approved bv the CiD, of
Coppell with the median cut shown in the configuration we need.
Mr. Doyle

In our view, from the start, this median cut has been crucial to the overall circula-
tion plan for our Master Plan Development. Your favorable review will be most ap-
preciated.
Sincerely,
