This ordinance is being brought forward on behalf of the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School
District. They are requesting the same consideration that was granted the Copper Independent School
District on December 10, 1996 for exemption of impact fees (letter attached).

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS,
AMENDING CHAPTER 17 - IMPACT FEES BY AMENDING SECTION
17-1-12 TO ADD SUBSECTION F TO EXEMPT THE CARROLLTON-
FARMERS BRANCH INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FROM
IMPACT FEES; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinance of the City of Coppell, Texas be, and the same
is hereby amended by amending Chapter 17, Section 17-1-12 in part to add subsection F to read as
follows:
"Sec. 17-1-12 Offsets and Credits Against Impact Fees
F. The Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District shall be
exempt from impact fees assessed pursuant to this Chapter."
SECTION 2. That all provisions of the Code of Ordinances Of thc City of Coppcll, Texas,
in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be, and the same are hereby, repealed, and all other
provisions not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. That should any word, phrase, paragraph, section or phrase of this ordinance
or of the Code of Ordinances, as amended hereby, be held to be unconstitutional, illegal or invalid,
the same shall not affect the validity of this ordinance as a whole, or any part or provision thereof
other than the part so decided to be unconstitutional, illegal or invalid, and shall not affect the
validity of the Code of Ordinances as a whole.

SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage,
as the law and charter in such cases provide.
