RE: Riverchase Elementary School Pedestrian Access
Dear Mark:
Thank you for your letter of April 6 regarding the Riverchase Elementary School pedestrian
access. At this point we are proceeding with the design of the project, but no matter what course
we take, we will have to deal with the flood plain issue and the Corps of Engineers.
Our Engineering staff will have in preliminary discussions with the Corps regarding our design
proposal, and I will keep you informed of these discussions as they progress. At this point, our
next step is for you and I to "sit tight" while Engineering works out the details with FEMA.
I look forward to working with you on the successful conclusion of this project, but at this point
patience is our next step.
