SERVICES: Prepare and perform test on material sampled by Southwestern Laboratories,
Dallas.
REPORT OF TESTS
Attached are the results of a lime series performed on a dark brown sandy
clay. This material was sampled from Breanna Way at station 6+00 to 6+15.
The laboratory analysis was accomplished by the addition of hydrated lime
in increments of two percent to the natural material. The plasticity index
(PI) was determined at each step and plotted against percent hydrated lime
on the graph provided.
Based on our interpretation of the data, we recommend the addition of six
(6) percent hydrated lime by dry weight for this sample. Using a dry unit
weight of 101.5 pcf, the amount of hydrated lime required for a 6-inch
depth would be 27.4 pounds per square yard.

with yellow sand. This material was sampled from Britanny Drive at station
5+50.
The laboratory analysis was accomplished by the addition of hydrated lime
in increments of two percent to the natural material. The plasticity index
(PI) was determined at each step and plotted against percent percent hy-
drated lime on the graph provided.
Based on our interpretation of the data, we recommend the addition of eight
(8) percent hydrated lime by dry weight for this sample. Using a dry unit
weight of 99.0 pcf, the amount of hydrated lime required for a 6-inch depth
would be 36.0 pounds per square yard.
