BOX478 ~ COPP~LLm TEXAS 75019 FILE April 19, 1999 Robert Howman Glenn Engineering 100 Decker Court, Suite 250 Irving, TX 75062 RE: Coppell Middle School East: Track and Tennis Courts Dear Mr. Howman: The City of Coppell has reviewed the referenced plans and has the following comments to offer: 1. Update the site plan to reflect existing structures and include the street name for Mockingbird Lane. 2. On the grading plan, please show the location of the proposed storm drainage system in a light line type. 3. Provide a berm to protect the alley to the north from the proposed storm water detention area. Also provide the existing elevation of the edge of alley along the north and east side of the site. 4. Provide flowline elevations for the proposed swales in the northeastern corner of the property. 5. Indicate on the storm sewer plan the size and type of all proposed and existing storm drain pipe. 6. Is the off-site storm drain system to the northeast of the property sufficient to handle the maximum flow of 95.23 cfs from the detention area? Provide evidence of its adequacy under future conditions. 7. Per the City of Coppell Subdivision Ordinance, all storm drain will be 18" minimum diameter RCP. You must submit a letter to the City Engineer requesting to use PVC for on-site storm drain. All public storm drain will meet the requirements of the subdivision ordinance. 8. Use City of Coppell Standard Construction details for all elements where standards are available. Standard details do not need to be included in the plans. 9. Clearly delineate the proposed detention area on the drainage area map and on the grading plan. 10. Remove the track detail sheets from the Civil Set. There are various other minor comments throughout the plans. When all comments have been addressed, please return these marked plans and two sets of revised plan.~ to the City for review. If you have any questions, please contact me at (972) 304-7019. Sincerely, , Kent M. Collins, E.I.T. Graduate Engineer
