RE: Coppell Intermediate School 1993 Additions
Dear Mr. Martin:
Our office has received your mark-up set of engineering drawings for the above
referenced project. The corrections have been made and are as follows:
1. A handicapped ramp has been provided. Please refer to sheet 2.1. In regard to
the bus turning radius, architectural graphic standards indicate that the minimum
turning radius for a single unit truck is 45'. I have reviewed the radius as it now
exists and we have more than the minimum.
2. Sheet 2.2 has been revised to show the outlet flowline elevations at the headwall
for the 12" PVC roof drain and the 6" French drain.
3. A. The sanitary sewer line tying into the existing sanitary sewer manhole will
be a private service line.
B. The existing sanitary sewer line has been indicated at the existing
manhole. The tie-in elevations have also been indicated. Refer to Sheet
8.0.
C. Refer to Sheet 2.1, detail 13 for sawcutting and replacement of concrete
paving required for installation of sanitary sewer.
4. On Sheet 2.2 there is a note that states that an N.O.I. be filed 48 hours before
construction begins. It is my understanding that an N.O.I. needs to be filed only
when there is more than five acres of disturbance. The disturbance on this
project is well below five acres.
5. On Sheet 2.2 in reference to a benchmark, elevations are based on the estab-
lished benchmark as follows:
Benchmark: 60 "D" nail in P/P west side Moore Road
and Briarglen Drive. Elevation = 509.43.
