Dear Mr. Connor:
This letter is written as a follow-up to your December 1st letter in which you requested a waiver
from Section VIII of the Subdivision Ordinance concerning the installation of sidewalks.
I have reviewed all the facts concerning this request. Those facts are: 1) Northlake Drive is a
cul-de-sac area that is currently built out entirely on the east side and at the north end with
commercial development: 2) There are no sidewalks existing on Northlake; and 3) There is no
potential for pedestrian traffic along Northlake Drive. Based on the above facts, the requirement
for your sidewalk installation has been waived. This is consistent with the position the City has
taken with other developments in commercial areas.
