Utility Location Review Comments
Dear Ms. Ibarra:
The City of Coppell has reviewed information provided for utility locations along SH 121. Plans
were provided for two separate locations. The first location was around 1-35 and SH 121 and a
small section to Lake Vista. This area is not within the city limits of Coppell, therefore those
plans are being returned to you.
The second set of plans submitted was generally reviewed in regard to existing and future
locations of water and sewer lines. At times the plans were unreadable and unclear as to what
was being shown, however we did attempt to determine the locations of existing and future
utilities.
Based on our review, we have the following comments to offer:
Sheet 7 - The city limits between Lewisville and Coppell appear to be shown incorrectly. Our
city limit generally follows the south right-of-way of SH 121.
Sheet 10 - Our 12" sanitary sewer extends across Denton Tap Rd. On your plans it appears to
end east of Denton Tap Rd.
Sheet 11 -
a) We have a 12" sanitary sewer line that continues along the north side of SH 121 across
Denton Tap. I believe a 27" sanitary sewer is also located there as shown, but it does not
belong to the City of Coppell.
b) Our 12" water line is on the west side of Denton Tap, not the east side as shown. There is no
cross connection between the 30" water and the City of Coppell's water supply system. The
30" water line is a City of Dallas line and they should be contacted for its location.

c) We have future plans to install a 12" water line in state fight-of-way along the south side of
SH 121 fi.om Denton Tap to Coppell Rd. This impacts Sheets 11 - 19.
Sheet 13 - Along with the future construction of the 12" water line along the south side of SH
121, we will need to cross SH 121 with a 12" water line to provide additional water supply to the
subdivisions on the north side of SH 121. While it is generally shown on Sheet 13, the exact
location has not been decided. It will be decided with the design of the 12" water line.
This general review of the plans is not submitted as a review of the correcmess of the location of
utilities as shown on the plans. As previously stated, the plans as submitted were at times
practically unreadable. A more detailed review will be conducted when actual preliminary plans
are submitted. If you have any questions, please contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Kenneth M. Griffin, P.E.
