A temporary detour of traffic to and from the new Coppell Hi
Site will be in effect on Saturday and Sunday, August 13 and 1l
to allow the closing of the construction entrance on Denton Tap
the lowering of GTE!s duct system along the west side of Denton Tap Road
beginning at a point approximately 991 feet north of Sandy Lake Road and
ending at a point approximately 1036 feet further north. For the above
stated period only, the temporary and emergency access to and from the
new high School site will be from Sandy Lake Road via Oak Trail Drive.
This detour will be abandoned no later than 5:00 A.H. on Honday, August
15, 1988, with normal access restored to the new High School Site and
Oak Trail Drive returned to its residential use restricting use by
construction traffic for the new High School.
The only traffic will be emergency Fire and Police vehicles, if needed
school district maintenance personnel and contractor
vehicles.
This is being implemented to facilitate the completion of GTE's
ing/relocation work in advance of the construction of the Denton~ap
Road Improvements Project of the City of Coppell.
