High School Construction Traffic through Oak Trail
Complaint by Rick Barrett of 133 Oak Trail.
As per your request:
I talked to Rick Barrett at 11 a.m. this morning. His concern
was the workers are using Oak Trail and Shady Dale to drive
their personal vehicles to the site, not.heavy equipment or
delivery trucks. He felt that when City Council said not con-
struction traffic will be aloud to use Shady Dale or Oak Trail,
this meant personal vehicles too. I told him that I would en-
courage them to use the Denton Tap entrance. I aslo told him
if the traffic got to heavy or that they became a nuisance,
that I would take sterner measures to limit the use of these
streets.
So far they have not been a nuisance. I foresee that as the
actual construction of the buildings start, we will probably
have to cease the ue of Shady Dale and Oak Trail, due to the
volume of traffic by ccnstruction workers.
I will continue to closely monitor this and strongly encourage
the workers to use their site entrance at Denton Tap.
